September Memorial Service.

On Saturday the 17th September we held a Memorial Service, this is something we do every three months. It was attended by 80 people and on this occasion the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan, it was our pleasure to present the Mayor with a cheque for £2185, this was from our Metal recycling, the Mayors chosen charity this year is Wigan and Leigh Hospice, this is a charity very close to our hearts here at Howe Bridge. Both the Mayor and Mayoress were very appreciative of the donation and said that they thought our Memorial service was very well organised and presented, with Rev Price conducting the service for us, and Geoff Pownall playing the organ.
