Drainage Works Notice
Due to technical issues, the revised date for the completion of the improvement works has been extended until the 30th June. We very much regret any additional inconvenience this may cause.
The areas directly affected will be fenced off in order to ensure public safety, however, this is not expected to restrict access to memorials.
If you would like more information on how this may affect your visit, please call the Crematorium directly on 01942 870 811.

Latest Covid-19 guidelines (29th November 2021)
To protect the safety and wellbeing of the bereaved, our teams and funeral director colleagues, we are closely monitoring government guidelines in England and continuing to maintain practices to ensure everyone’s safety:
- Whilst masks and face coverings are not a legal requirement, we actively encourage all visitors to wear them in our indoor public spaces, should they wish to do so.
We continue to offer hand sanitiser in and around our buildings.
We continue to ensure that where possible, we have doors and windows open to allow for good airflow throughout our buildings.
We ensure that regular cleaning is undertaken in between services to multi-touch points (e.g. door handles, lecterns, catafalques, backs of pews)
We carry out a deep clean of the chapel at the end of every working day so that our chapels are ready for the following day.
We continue to offer the use of the NHS Track and Trace posters to enable all visitors to ‘check-in’ at our premises, however, this is not a legal requirement for people to use it.
Singing is once again allowed in our chapels.
We offer the witness charging of coffins as normal.
We allow for curtains to remain open and for mourners to walk up to the coffin to touch/place flowers.
We welcome donations and collections to be carried out by the Funeral Directors using their own donation boxes or encourage families to make use of online charitable giving sites.
Additionally, in line with government guidelines:
Mourners are asked to take lateral flow test before attending a funeral and self-isolate straight away if they tested positive.
Mourners traveling from abroad are asked to follow Covid-19 international travel requirements.
We are fully open to assist you with enquiries regarding memorials.
We would be delighted to talk to you over the telephone or meet you in person and show you our beautifully landscaped Garden of Remembrance.
Memorials update – 28 July 2021
Due to events beyond our control resulting from significantly delayed shipments from overseas, memorial orders are currently being received later than expected. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are endeavouring to limit any disruption to a minimum.
If you are considering purchasing a memorial, we encourage you to place your order at the earliest opportunity to ensure its installation as early as possible.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any enquiries, please contact the Crematorium Office.
